For Those Who Split Their Pills - How did you make that decision?
'ello! I've been on Armour for two days (not long, I know). Just talked to my doc and shared with him that I feel slightly better in the a.m. than I have been but that I start to "crash" around 2 or 2:30 (throat closes, eyes get very tired, general fatigue, lack of desire to do anything...). He said that I c... 13 Apr 2008 04:36
Switching from Synthroid to Armour - What should I expect? (Amanita)
What is his reasoning for switching you to Armour? Do you have some specific symptoms that are not being addressed with your current medication? Or is it simply that this particular doc happens to favour the T4/T3 combo that Armour provides? To be honest I don't have labs to back up what he's recommende... 9 Apr 2008 17:09
Switching from Synthroid to Armour - What should I expect? (Ray)
> Are you feeling good on the Synthroid? What are the blood test results? I have not yet found a dose of Synthroid that has kept me feeling good for more than a month. Then something goes "wonky." As for blood tests, they took 7 vials yesterday so I am looking forward to the results. I also have a saliva ... 14 Apr 2008 13:49
Just Diagnosed Hypo
Hey! I just wanted to share my story and get some feedback. I have been gaining weight steadily since my son was born in 2002. I now weigh more than I did when I gave birth to him. I was diagnosed with depression in 2004, but I'm pretty sure it started right after my son was born. I've been on and off several m... 9 Apr 2008 14:42
For Rod (very long)
Rod, Here's the new thread answering your question about my particular thyroid adventure...you may be sorry you asked...lol First let me say, I did not think you were "getting" at me with your initial response. I do agree that to alot of docs thyroid treatment is either unimportant or a mystery so alot of us e... 10 Apr 2008 16:57
Good or bad advice?
Just doing the daily rounds of thyroid support groups and this caught my eye. Is this supportive or idiotic advice? TSH is not the only control....
Especially for Kevin but of possible interest to all. Just fell across a short paper suggesting that thyroid function and size might be modulated by the nerves that connect the thyroid to the sympathetic and parasympathetic nerves. "There is growing evidence suggesting a role for the autonomic nervous syste... 8 Apr 2008 10:50
hypoT & joint issues?
Hi everyone, Is there anyone out there who is hypoT who experiences joint aches/ pains/cracking? I recently have been diagnosed and have been on Armour for the last 2.5 months. I have experienced feet/knee/hip pain off and on for the last few years. It comes and goes. I also have "popping" in other joints, namel... 8 Apr 2008 19:44
Low TSH and elevated FT3
Hi, Is it normal to have an elevated FT3 lab result while taking Armour? I took my pill 2 hours prior to the draw. Long story.. I finally switched from Levoxyl to Armour.. been on it a couple months now. I was coming from 25mcg of Levoxyl, which kept my FT3 and FT4 in the middle, but TSH around 4. I didn't lik... 12 Apr 2008 03:01
