From: donna on 29 Mar 2008 13:04 dear laurie, thank you for this. it strikes a deep chord in me. i struggled to find the right words to inscribe on savannah's headstone; it took me almost one year. finally, i narrowed down my choices to some of the words from three songs: 'forever young' by bob dylan, 'may it be' by enya, and 'into the west' by annie lennox. because i had described her, in her obituary, as 'a bright light, a comet', i went with 'may it be an evening star shines down upon you'. but here are the words from 'into the west' that your post "HERE SHE COMES!" brought into my mind. Don't say, We have come now to the end. White shores are calling. You and I will meet again. And you'll be here in my arms, Just sleeping. What can you see, on the horizon? Why do the white gulls call? Across the sea, a pale moon rises. The ships have come, to carry you home. best wishes to you, donna
