Perhaps some campaign work in the other Usenet groups dealing with companion animals would get things going again. In the meantime, Rob, please (if you wish) tell what happened to your poor cat. Few of us though there may be here, we do truly empathize. (Having suffered my own feline losses over the years, I know I certainly do.) And welcome to the group, FWIW. I'll try soon to email you some other Internet resources regarding pet loss and bereavement.

I'll try soon to email you some other > Internet resources regarding pet loss and bereavement. Hello all (all three...) First I want to ask you to try and not misunderstand me. I'm not trying to pick up a polemic nor to annoy anyone. My opinions are perhaps somewhat brusque or may be unilateral or subjective in excess, but they are sincere and direct, frank and open, with no offense meant. I´ve joined the group some weeks earlier and was surprised by the extremely scarce participation. Asking myself what could cause this I read the past files and what I found was that the answers to the bereavers were on the whole, if any, formal and felt very dettached. Forgive for the expression, but those answers were as from professional mourners. I suppose the bereaved people felt likewise and didn´t come back for more of the same. On the other hand I also ask myself what one can say. The pain of the demise of a trusted, congenial, loyal, devoted, deeply loved friend from whom one never received anything more than the most sincere affection is beyond words. What could I say to Rob? That I´m truly sorry for him, that I know what he must be feeling and I feel harmonically some of his pain? What could I say to him in order to try to soothe even a little that pain.? I really don´t know . I feel impotent and useless, so I´m in the same case as the good-willing people that I'm criticizeing for being cold and dettached... So I have critics, but not solutions to propose... Anyway I´m telling you this hoping that you'll find the way to really make feel to the desolated visitors of these pages the empathy that mentions Noon Cat Nick. Cordial greetings for all and a hug for Rob. |
