Well la-di-da! Last time I looked apologetics was only one discipline
within a seminary curriculum. Apologetics [from "apologia", Greek for
"defense"] refers to defending a position. The big guns in most
seminary curricula are more proactive disciplines like studying the
texts (preferably in their original languages), the cultural and
historical context in which they were formed, and the developmental
history of and critical analysis of the belief system (commonly
called "theology", and of course homiletics [learnin' ta preach]. At
one level apologetics can almost be done by rote learning, though of
course you probably didn't study at that level.

That somehow does come off as just a wee bit arrogant, but of course
I've been there myself--that's how I recognize is.

PC?

I think I heard a door closing somewhere.

[For the record, I'll see your apologetics and raise you some of the
other disciplines. :-)]

You have not one iota of evidence whether I am or am not able to
publicly say that or anything else. I'm certainly not going to do it
simply because you have some delusions about what God expects of a
person.
