Howard,

Once again, I am confused. As I've mentioned before, I'm seeing 2
surgeons and both say that my manometry results are not typical for
someone who has GERD. One surgeon wants me to redo the manometry then
do 24 hour ph and impedence testing. The other one says she wants me
to do a 24 hour ph study and she will reduce my PPI's to once/day and
no H2 blockers for the test. Which one should I do? I tend to think
that the test with impedence will show more, but I'm not sure. I was
told that I could stay on all of my meds with impedence testing.
What do you suggest?

Thanks..again!

Christine

Impedance testing provides substantially more information, IMHO.
