From: Rhonda Lea Kirk Fries on 24 Sep 2008 09:53 As those of you taking Levoxyl may know, King offers a coupon good for 30 tablets of Levoxyl every 90 days. Since my prescription was changed from a single dose to an alternating dose, I've had a very difficult time getting this prescription filled using the coupon. The pharmacy was only able to give me 15 pills of one dosage strength ("a one month's supply") and could not seem to get the other 15 pills to be accepted for approval. This, even though the language of the coupon has been changed in the last several months in an apparent effort to accomodate situations similar to mine. Finally, I got fed up with the whole thing, and I emailed King. I received an acknowledgement letter advising me that my query had been forwarded to someone who could help me. The representative from McNesson (the company fulfilling the coupon) called me within a business day. The upshot of the conversation was that I emailed him my pharmacy number, and he will be calling them to authorize the payment of 15 days of each strength. He has also alerted McNesson's customer service department to this sort of situation so that when claims such as mine are rejected, the customer service department will be able to override them if the pharmacist calls. I was very impressed by McNesson's customer service, and I thought everyone should know, particularly if you have a similar issue. -- Rhonda Lea Kirk Fries "You know you can indict a ham sandwich if you want to."
