From: district on 22 Apr 2008 16:26 kgrhoads I am not a fan of this J curve! I suppose I went through all that detail in my response to Elizabeth to point out that this is definitely a pattern. I understand that it's common. What is disturbing to me is that the curve is getting deeper each time. And what I wonder is if it's necessary. Is it possible that maybe I need T3 to get me through the rough parts now until I am fully dosed? Oh, if only I had a doctor I could talk to! It's just awful to have to feel like this and to have it affect your entire life. Work, relationships, family. And on top of that to not have support from doctors (the ones who are supposed to understand!!) only makes it all ten times worse. As a result, I'm at the point where I feel like I need to take a leave of absence from work, because I just can't handle it all anymore. The B12 thing is a good point. My B12 was actually on the low side the last time it was checked (303, ref range 200 - 900), and when I pointed it out to my doctor, she had no idea this could be related to thyroid problems. I knew it was from the reading I've done. So frustrating for me. I am currently taking B supplements, but perhaps I should take your advice and take more vitamins. Thanks for the info/advice. -JT
