Wrong.

But that is a matter of politics.

No that is the way the world works. If industry wants
something it tends to get it. Want a recombinant seed,
it will tend to come with time. People will be hired
to promote it use one way or another.

You are wrong. If it is what you want *then* industry goes after it. You
don't buy it, they won't sell it.
It is the consumer that drives the market.

Everyone wants to blame BB when they have only themselves to blame. If
you weren't so cheap and would pay a decent price for a quality product
made by trained professionals then all the so-called cost cutting
actions would not be required. There would be enough money to pay for
cleanup, recycling and the like.

You simply have to have what you want now! For that you have to pay a
price.

That brings to mind the old (19th century) congressional story that if
you wanted to stay honest as a congressman, you had to close the vent
windows to the hallway of the congressional offices
otherwise money would be tossed in during the night with orders
as how you were to vote.

They are more clever now but whether its in the States, the EU,
or Germany there is patronage in all directions. And
remember some interest groups carry more weight in one
way or another. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
