Hi ,
I would just like to introduce myself to this group i used to suffer
depression for a long time ,i tried every possible cure there was
available but as many of you will already know none of them
worked .From shrink's to tablets iv'e had it all .

Then i found out some really important information for myself ,as i
slowly began to question some of the thoughts and negative belief's
about myself and the so called experts opinions i reliazed that i
wasn't so bad after all .That i could change my life if i really
wanted too.And i did the more possitive i became the more happy i felt
Our life's are determined by our belief's and expectations about
ourselves and other's .Once we begin to change those belief's we
change the outcome .

I would never have questioned what the norm was when i was younger,I
mean what is the norm ?to me the norm is what is normal to a group of
people ,but who's to say the normal is right ? think about it? this
isn't rocket science you know I ended up with a degree in
psychotherapy .

Are you a sheep follower ask yourself this if someone told you to jump
of the bridge for your own good would you????? No you wouldn;t so
please question everything And beleive nothing .I would like to go
into this further because iv'e come on such a journey i am now a
Clinicial Hypnotherapist and councellor please any one with some
information on why you think your deppressed let me know ,because i
can bet you won;t be after a short while .warmest Wishes
PS I Dont care how deppressed youv;e been you can get over this.

Congratulations on your recovery, and your self-insight. I am glad that you
are doing so much better.

Congratulations also on your degree in psychotherapy.

To the person who owns only a hammer, every problem looks like a nail. You
clearly believe that depression is due solely to false (negative) thoughts
and beliefs. Sometimes that is true. Sometimes it is not. Some cases of
depression respond fully to psychotherapy, while others do not, and require
medication. For a very large fraction of people with depression, medication
plus therapy is the most effective solution.

On a completely different subject, it is very difficult to take you
seriously as a psychotherapist when you cannot write or spell properly.
Likewise, the fact that your email address is associated with a "get rich
quick" Web site is not reassuring.

If you do want to be taken seriously, I suggest you exercise more care in
composing your messages.

No, depression and hypochondria are different, although you can have both.

Other medications may work better for you. We can discuss this here, if you
wish.
