From: RLoughridge on 6 Jan 2008 18:34 I was diagnosed with Cystinuria when I was 12. I passed my first stone then and didn't have another one until I was in college. Now that I'm 32, I'm passing 2+ stones a month. I been to the emergency room several times and have had surgeory once to remove stones. In passing stones, I've often had the severe lower back pain that is associated with passing stones but recently I've been having pain that is a little higher than usual, at times it feels like I have a back problem but I've been to a back Dr. and they cannot find anything. I even went to physical theraphy and it didn't seem to help my back. The pain just seems to randomly come and go. So it seems that this could be kidney stone related. Is there anyone out there that has had travelling random pain more in the upper back from passing stones? Has anyone found that the pain is better when laying on their stomach rather than laying on your back or standing? Also, anyone seeing a good Urologist in the Michigan, Ohio or Indiana area?

Hi, I'm not able to help directly, but have you also seen a nephrologist for an opinion? Also, is there a possibility that some changes in diet will reduce the quantity of stones? Good luck, Chris
