From: robtjonz1952 on 26 Dec 2007 16:27 This incident came up when my wife and I were discussing how much we miss our first rescue, Anna, who was an 8-lb miniature dachshund/ chihuahua mix who died on 23 January 2004. The first year we had her, we had to go away for a weekend so we were recommended by a friend who is a Keeshond breeder to use a local kennel. We dropped our tiny dog off and went on our trip. When I went back to get her on Monday, the people at the kennel gave me sideways glances. They brought Anna to me and I found my self standing there holding this brown, 8-lb, bundle of love while standing between 2 guys who had full-grown German Shepherds. The kennel owner told me that Anna was no longer welcome at the kennel as she had terrorized the other dogs. I looked down at the two German Shepherds and then at the two guys. They looked embarassed. I was so proud that she had stood her ground as I imagine she continues to do to this day up in Heaven.

The best place to keep a dog is in your heart. Anna will always be there as long as you live. May her memory be eternal.
From: ElvisRocks on 27 Dec 2007 23:14 It is nice how eventually we can think about and share stories about them and even laugh about things they did. Sorry for your loss.
