am 30year old fem in a WC for more then 9 years. I ware sock on my
feet most of the time, except when I go bare foot. I don't see any
reason to put on shoes, they are useless if you cant walk. My
husband
loves to dress me in his favorit sock when we go out on the town.
Like to hear from any other girls in WC that feel the same.

Even if you have no feeling at all, slamming into a wall and shattering your
toes, is not going to do you any good.

Besides,...why not have style ?
I know a woman that has no use of her legs but still won't go out in her
chair without 4" designer stillettos, and says she does it "just to feel
good about herself"

plus the heels fit into a cutout on the footrests, so also anchor her feet
in place without needing any straps

Since one pair of shoes will last you years, buy the best.

I only wear socks, too. And haven't smashed my toes in a very long
time. I use slippers in the winter over the socks, just to keep my
feet warmer. In summer, just socks, or barefoot. Very comfy.

I am male, but I agree with you. I don't see the need to wear shoes when
I'm in a wheelchair all day. Even at my job, I routinely only wear socks at
work, but I usually go barefoot whenever and wherever I can. I absolutely
hate wearing shoes or for that matter, anything on my feet. Some of the
people who know me also wish they didn't have to wear shoes at work, but
because they are not disabled they can't get away with it. Nobody has ever
told me to wear shoes either, but if I were to wear them, I would have to
wear a particular type, dress style. I've also never smashed my toes into
anything since I learned to drive my chair, so no problem there either.
