No Apnea here.
I am just putting this out as a question since I can't find any other sleep groups. I know that most of you have Apnea or some other, more common ailments, but I have lost the ability to fall asleep other than by prescription drugs and one illegal one. The prescription drugs all have side effects, including ph... 13 Aug 2010 21:15
CPAP Mask
I was diagnosed with sleep apnea a year ago and have been given a CPAP to use, with a "nose mask". I find that I cannot sleep with the mask on and lie awake in bed untill I have removed the mask. Then I fall asleep after an hour or so. I find that the 1-2 hours that I do use the mask (pre sleep) is beneficial t... 12 Aug 2010 20:18
Thinking about the past
Why do people think about what they could have done different? Things like "If I'd only walked to the store, I wouldn't have been in an accident." Since the past is already done, why think about it? My first guess of why people do this is because they think they're going to have to live the same story over ag... 5 Aug 2010 10:15
GERD!
Anyone else here suffer from it? Once again it has ripped me awake with that horrid bile backing up in my throat. At least I didn't throw up. Last night my gastroparesis kicked in and I threw up four times. It's always something. I am taking Carafate for the GERD. Seems to help some, but not now. I che... 8 Aug 2010 13:26
Follow up: MAD in!
Hi all, as promised before an small update: today I received my MAD (device to reposition my lower jaw). First try tonight. It feels quite invasive in my mouth and I start drooling like a dog, but I plan to combine it with mild sleep medication and we'll see what happens ;-) take care, B. ... 12 Aug 2010 15:55
wrist pain?
I'm wearing braces and have no leg strength. So I push off the toilet with my left hand. I try to use the right but it can't contribute very much. A couple weeks ago I was doing this and I got a shot of pain all the way from my wrist to my elbow. It hurt like all get out. It's also hurting on the top of my wri... 31 Jul 2010 02:11

First sleep, second sleep.
I had not heard these terms before. Or if I did, I didn't know what they meant. I just heard them on a show about why we are afraid of the dark. They said in the old days, people would go to bed at sundown. Then they would awaken around midnight and do all sorts of things. Often in the dark because they co... 19 Jul 2010 00:36

For you!
To be or not to be? That is the quesiton. I have thought about suicide at times but if I killed myself I'd still exist. Final conclusion, I don't recommend suicide. I am prolife. Also, if you don't die, you can end up in a mental hospital. c3+ ... 15 Jul 2010 05:34

Is my cpap helping / necessary?
"Evan Platt" <evan(a)theobvious.espphotography.com> wrote in message news:bleh361mu6q317737gbnr91tnfde3g3v1c(a)4ax.com... So .. For the past few years, I've had headaches almost every day. Some bad, some tolerable, some I'd say border on migraine. I knew I snored. Sometimes I wake myself - if I'm just on t... 25 Jul 2010 01:15
Fewer sleepers on here now?
Fewer sleepers on here now, as 10 have just been sent home. That C3 guy was obviously the controller. Haven't heard from him since the arrests started. Concidence? I say no! -- Murphy's ultimate law is that if something that could go wrong doesn't, it turns out that it would have been better if it had gone... 10 Jul 2010 20:26
DME rant!
The DME I was assigned by my insurance has headquarters in the city where I live. But the location they assigned me is in another city and hard for me to get to. I have never actually been there. When I first got my machine, I was sent to some sleep lab. It was not the same sleep lab where I went for my tes... 25 Jul 2010 06:33
