From: RML on 29 Apr 2007 15:20 After jogging 3 miles 3x/week (10 minute miles) for 15 years, I have switched to walking. I am walking 3 miles every other day at 13 minute miles. I am wearing Asics Kayano walkers. Since my conversion about a month ago, I still continue to get fairly severe shin splints/pain for the first mile and a half. Then it lessens. I continue to walk through it. Not sure why my shins have not yet adjusted to the different exercise. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks
