From: John Heitmuller. on 21 May 2008 16:07 Hi, does anybody have any recommendations for a light weight GPS device? IÂ’m mostly concerned with knowing how far IÂ’ve walked. IÂ’m walking for fitness so I like to set goals for distance. This currently limits me to trails and routes that I know the distance of already. IÂ’d like to branch out to some unmeasured trails. Thanks, John

I don't find the wrist-unit to be too cumbersome and I have a very small wrist. You could ask at a running store about various brands & models & look at some "live". bj

Thanks, **John If you want a wrist unit, take a look at the Garmin Foretrex. But if you don't need a wrist unit, and you're on a budget, the standard Garmin E-Trex will do the job.
