From: MK on 19 May 2008 16:07 I have noticed something odd about digital scales. I have a Taylor scale (5578) and until my weight changes by 1.4 pounds it shows the old reading. For example, if my first weighting shows 200.0 pounds then the scale will report 200.0 pounds day after day until my weight becomes either 201.4 or 198.6 or outside that range. I have tested that by weighting myself and then picking up small objects until the weight changes. When testing other digital scales I have noticed that about 1.0 pounds is when they change. Is there any digital scales out there that don't have such a problem? I understand that some stabilization is required to allow ease of reading, but it should release the number when a new weighting is performed. Mark

From: MK on 20 May 2008 15:46 Its done that since it was brand new a couple of years ago. As near as I can see all digital scales have this odd thing but only about 1 pound instead of the Tylor's 1.4 pounds. From: GaryG on 20 May 2008 18:14 I stopped using a digital scale a few years back for the same reason...I can remember the brand but it stands about 4ft tall and simple to read...Very close to the digital weigh in at WW...Works quite well...GG "MK" <mnewsgroupsnospamplease(a)cox.net> wrote in message news:mUFYj.112$7k1.77(a)newsfe24.lga... > Its done that since it was brand new a couple of years ago.
