Good for him. It's true that he cannot get any advantage from the
prosthetic feet. He can store some but not all of the energy of the
impact and never add any energy at all like a natural foot with
muscles can.

Yo.......I was going to post the same good news. This is still however very
controversial... as to whether or not the feet are of any advantage. In one
test they dropped a guy with those springy amputee feet from about a height
of 3 feet and he got about 50% of the recoil from in. When a human foot
lands it just goes thud........

Yeah well try getting an amputee to propel himself from a dead stop in
a big hop and then get someone with ten toes to do the same. Wanna bet
who goes father? The amputee's not going to get very far.
