From: davetubb on 23 Feb 2007 11:14 I woke up one morning with a back pain in the right shoulder blade and a bit to the left of the right shoulder blade. It was also accompanied by a pain down where burps originate, down in the diaphram/osphogus area. I did not link the two symptoms together at first but they are very connected. So I started reading links like these and found lots of people with the same acute pains. Ask yourself what your diet might have been recently. For me I had ironically been eating and drinking all the wrong foods that triggered the acid reflux in a severe way. Have you ingested acidic foods, tomato sauces, pizza, orange juice or other citric juices, garlic or onions and especially alcohol? For the immediate remedy, I suggest 1/8 tsp baking soda in 8 oz of water but make sure it is dissolved very well before drinking, this can help get your body Ph level back to normal. Also read the baking soda label for further guidance. I also have been taking Prilosec, this may also take 2 days to start feeling relief. This is currently my second morning of having that stabbing back pain but I have drastically changed my diet away from acidic foods and alcohol and do feel some improvement. I hope to be back significantly tomorrow morning. John D.
