Best of luck, Vince.
There wasn't enough details as to why you're having the tests to comment
further.

Sorry. I'd posted earlier about my situation. RRP in 2000 at age 49,
Gleason 7 (3+4 from needle biopsy (still trying to obtain post op path
report), pre op PSA was 4.73 @ age 48, tumor measured from 0.1 to 0.6 cm
in length and involved 3 core segments, tumor was confined to the left
lobe of the prostate, first PSA post op was < 0.1. PSA's every three
months for the first year post op were all < 0.1. Due to my thinking I
was cured and not wanting to "deal" with it any more, I did not have any
PSA's done from approx. 12/01 until this past April. PSA in 4/2008 was
0.8, PSA 7/2008 was 0.8, PSA 9/2008 was 0.6. VA uro referred me to a VA
radiation oncologist at the VA hospital in Ann Arbor, MI last week. RO
scheduled the bone scan for next Monday and a CT of my abdomen 12/03/2008.
Plus another PSA 12/02/2008. Pending results of these tests if there is
no mets, it sounds like I'm looking at 7-8 weeks of abdominal radiation
(IMRT?). RO not sure about the type of radiation because I also had
radiation to some of the same area for testicular cancer which I had 30
years ago in 1978.

That's about all I know right now.

I find it intriguing that your PSA was not detected with a standard assay
for a year then, seven years later, it's a virtual straight line at 0.8,
0.8, and 0.6 over another half year. If it wasn't a life/death thing, it
would be fascinating.

Yeah, my RO was lamenting the fact she'd like to know if my PSA has been
going up gradually for 7 years and then flat lined or if it had gone up
suddenly. I guess I'll never know.
