Hi All,

Been a long time since I have been on this group since my cpap has been
working great. Just recently I have started to feel tired again so am going
back to the doc. What I want to know is if anyone knows where I can find
software that can interpret the serial port data on this machine? I hate
having to drag it in to the place I purchased it just to print out a report.
If not, I think I will hook it up to a data scope and figure it out (as long
as it isn't encrypted data).

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Spatch

The ResMed AutoScan software is everything you need.
I bought it together with xpap and mask in California.
See detailed info at my pages at:
http://home.wanadoo.nl/w.h.vogelaar/marfan/apnea/
On those pages you can also see the output of that program.

On those pages you see also the additional open source program I have made
to calculate the elapsed apnea/hypopnea time.
See this output at:

The ResMed Autoscan software should be orderable from a CPAP supplier
(on line if you like). However, since it allows alteration of the
machine settings as well, it will normally require a prescription.

AutoScan 5.4 (which what you'll see typically offered for sale) does not
allow settings changes. (I wish it did since my flow generator still has the
name John Doe in it.) I believe earlier versions had this capability but
they removed it. IIRC you don't need a specific rx for the software but they
may want to see your Rx for the machine.
