Next: It's been almost 2 years since my son died by suicide
From: oldhickory on 11 Sep 2007 11:52 I'm sorry I don't have time to read through all the posts and research--I'm currently dealing with the arrangements for the death of my mother (no family here to help so I'm on my own), but I have a dear friend who's husband suicided on her a couple of weeks ago and I'm trying to steer her to some assistance. Having known other survivors and professionals in my lifetime (all in another city and state) I know how important support is but I'm at a loss for who to direct her and her son to locally. We're in the Austin, Texas metro area. I did find something on a website last night and sent it to her but the e-mail bounced back. I think it was to hospiceaustin.org If anyone knows about survivor support services in the area, please post. Many thanks!!!! -- ie ride fast, take chances. |
