From: Sonja Garrett on 27 Oct 2005 15:11 Dear Mickey, Not to worry. I have had four infusions since April or May and have experienced no adverse effects. The results while not spectacular have been positive. A number of Crohn's related conditions have improved. Bring lots of reading material. It takes about three hours. Good luck. I took Remicade three times. First time, it worked like a charm. Second time, effects lasted about two months, instead of three. My last time, there was little or no effect. The cost is a downer -- the first and third times I took it was in the U.S. where insurance paid all but about $500. The second infusion was overseas and the cost was almost nil. Good luck, Sam in DC "Mike G" <mgoony(a)one.net> wrote in message news:11lqqvodrntm749(a)corp.supernews.com... >I have had Crohn's for 20 years and my Dr. has been trying to get me on >Remicade for the last 5 years but I got pregnant twice and so he never was >able to do it.
