Hello,

My partner has been suffering from an insomnia-like sleep disorder for
several years now, and I need recommendations for a sleep center in
Orange County, CA. Should I go to a private clinic like Pacific Sleep
Medicine Services or a hospital like Hoag, UCI or St. Josephs? What
questions should I ask them to determine if we should go there? For
example, I read a post saying that St. Joseph could not write a drug
prescription because the doctor was a psychologist.

Thanks!

I went to their lab in Los Angeles, because the certified sleep doc
there was a neurologist. If you go to their website
http://www.sleepmedservices.com/
I think you will find a lab near you and a doctor/specialist of your choice.

I am aware of complaints of poor treatment at UCLA sleep lab.

That's an interesting point. Never thought of that. Maybe you want to
find a certified sleep doc first,
http://www.sleepmedservices.com/
and, then, find a lab with his/her help. Some have their own labs; some
don't.
