From: Dave on 16 Jun 2006 11:34 .....but been feeling like this for a few years now. On top of my depression I also have anxiety problems leading to panic attacks if I'm around too many people. I've been prescribed Citalopram 20mg by my doctor, and was just wondering if anyone else was on these. I was also looking forward to talking to the psychiatric nurse at my local practice, but I can't get an appointment with her until 4th September! Doeas anyone know of any depression/anxiety groups that get together in the Nottingham area? Dave ps. This is my first time posting on here, so don't all flame me at once

I'm on different drugs to you, but for the same reasons. I did a websearch that may be completely useless to you but made me feel like I did something... http://www.ashfield-dc.gov.uk/health/mind.shtml (Mind - Nottinghamshire) http://www.nosag.org.uk/ (Established since 2003, NOSAG is a self help group with the aim to provide people with social anxiety the opportunity to socialise and discuss their problems in an understanding and forward thinking environment.) http://www.meetup.com/cities/gb/nottingham/?sort=name&radius=100 (Meetups near Nottingham)

I was on Citalopram for a while. Found them useful. In fact they were the last antidepressant that I took and I've been medication free for over two years now. Chris --
