Halloween is not celebrated in Australia. I've seen a lot of it in movies but never understood what it signifies. Supposedly, the souls come out on Halloween and they won't hurt you if you leave a gift or some type of offering at your door - thus give kids candy. It's stupid, but that's the tradition. kili -- ========== Please DELETE this text block when replying! ========== Contact the moderators at: asapm-board(a)stump.algebra.com The charter is available at: http://readystump.algebra.com/~asapm ========= This notice is added to each approved article ==========
From: weeks on 7 Oct 2008 08:55 We have every single year since we got married. Last year we had 6 Halloweeners and candy for 40+. I'm thinking of not being home this year - I know WHO eats a lot of the leftover candy... Of course, I'd make treat bags for the few little ones in the neighborhood. smiles, Elise <MsMonarchdancer(a)gmail.com> wrote in message news:1b7le4pblkrbc5cq5fvuvvhoo6kour9ani(a)4ax.com... > 10/03/08: > > Today's question is being brought to you by Kili :) > > Do you participate in Halloween (give out candy or dress up)? > > > Jackie > ~*~Millions long for immortality but do not know what to do with > themselves on a rainy Sunday afternoon~*~ > ~Susan Ertz~ > > -- > ========== Please DELETE this text block when replying! ========== > Contact the moderators at: asapm-board(a)stump.algebra.com > The charter is available at: http://readystump.algebra.com/~asapm > ========= This notice is added to each approved article ========== > -- ========== Please DELETE this text block when replying! ========== Contact the moderators at: asapm-board(a)stump.algebra.com The charter is available at: http://readystump.algebra.com/~asapm ========= This notice is added to each approved article ==========
