AlphaDry? I am considering using the AlphaDry instead of pads. Has anyone had any experience with the device? The website describing it is: http://www.alphadry.com/ If it works as they say it does, it would seem to be kinder to the skin, more secure for large squirts and less hassle. It turns out that Medicare and my s... 20 Jun 2006 16:22
Visit Had my visit, too, today. We discussed my PSA from 4 months ago (to recap my PSAs since starting hormones has been down, down, up, up, down and up. The last PSA was 0.132. My doc isn't one to sit around a wait. He wrote a script for Casodex and, if today's pull is above 0.132, I'm to start it immediately. H... 23 Jun 2006 20:36
Lymphodema I once read that lymphodema was a side effect of some PCa treatments. I believe it has been rarely discussed here (CC, maybe?). In any case, it is a condition for which there is no good solution. My M-I-L has it, so my wife has, off and on, been researching it on the WWW. Yesterday she came across this, whic... 16 Jun 2006 22:11

British Study I read a recent news article about a study at the Institute of Cancer Research in England where they conclude that maybe its not always a good idea to use aggressive treatment of PC. They base their opinion on a long term study where patients with low grade cancer have about a 1% chance of dying of PC with or with... 14 Jun 2006 16:57
AMS 800 update. The AMS 800 artificial urinary sphincter was implanted in September of last year. My experience with the device has not been entirely satisfactory. I went from filling up a Depends Guard in two hours to where I have stabilized now at two Guards per day. My uro said that he could add an additional cuff in an a... 2 Jun 2006 13:02
PSA Rise I'm 47 and in good health. I have been told since 2000 by my doc that my prostate is enlraged, although I don't know to what degree. I do have on and off slight groin and testicular tenderness/pain, which I have attributed to exercise. No first degree relatives with PCa. but an uncle got it at age 67. On 2/200... 9 Jun 2006 00:08
Two years since RRP I just got my two-year PSA reading--still less than 0.1. A lot going on. My wife and I are leaving Tuesday for a geneological tour of Scotland including the Rosslyn Chapel as featured in the Da Vince Code. I have just retired and we are moving from California to a new house we built in a retirement community near D... 23 Jun 2006 16:58
Seeding and Rectal Radiation Burns Hi: I was seeded a couple of years ago, and at the time was told that unexpected side effects were unusual. However, I am now mildly incontinent, impotent and have recently found that I have rectal radiation burns. This latter problem, which may or may not be able to be cured, was something no one mentioned when ... 6 Jun 2006 19:26
Erectile dysfunction I was diagnosed with prostate cancer last week. I had a meeting with my Eurologist yesterday but have now some questions that I did not think to ask at the time and woud appreciate input: 1. Do you need both nerves to get a sound erection or is it a redundnant system i.e one will do? 2. I have had trouble getting... 21 May 2006 03:07 |
