Caspase-3 Making Cancer Cells Commit Suicide Could Be New Treatment Route 28 Aug 2006 Healthy cells have an inherent process which make them self-destroy if something wrong is detected - but cancer cells don't. biopsy anxiety I'm somewhat hesitant to post this here since I know that the prostate biopsy that I have scheduled for Monday is unavoidable and a necessary diagnostic procedure. However, I've got some trepidations resulting, in part, from the experience described by my uncle who subsequently underwent a radical prostatectomy.... 3 Sep 2006 13:59

Penile shortening less after dVP robotic laparoscopic prostatectomy? This is a real phenomenon. Not sure about the actual etiology. Many do believe it is the removal of the prostate, but that's not anatomically very feasible. The uretha is secured in place into the pelvic floor musculature. The bladder comes down to fill in the removed space where the prostate used to be. Few thi... 22 Aug 2006 23:53
Futile I'm back again (my original post was "tests questions". Anyway, things have become more complicated for me. 1- For one thing the more research I do the more my conclusions are that all of the treatments carry considerable risk. Duh! I know it's obvious but based on the things I've read none of those risks and ... 3 Sep 2006 22:25

Dad diagnosed. Next step? Thanks for the speedy reply. He had his biopsy/trans rectal ultrasound last week, the specialist who preformed that procedure had someone with him (training them, perhaps) and they were overheard talking.. Basically dad heard them use the phrases T2 and T3, and talk about nodules on the surface of the left side... 17 Aug 2006 22:59 |
