I've moved recently and decided to check back in on my favorite Usenet group! Still using my Bi-PAP, and my brother is still using his CPAP. Unfortunately My mother passed away last year, so there have been a lot of life changes for me recently.

Steff....... so glad to see you alive and kicking. Sorry about your mother. I moved into a senior's building three years ago and am using a mobility scooter now. OSA is under control with CPAP but damage to heart hasn't gotten better but hasn't gotten worse either. Was down at the CNE a few days ago and saw the new electric two wheeled scooters that are now legal here without a licence, etc. Thinking of getting one. A bunch of the old fogies in here think I'm nuts. I told them I knew that years ago! Keep on posting, kid! Regards Lee in Toronto
From: Magesteff on 24 Aug 2008 19:58 Yeah, I got one of those electric scooters myself this year, the car accident in 2003 left me not able to walk more than a few hundred feet or so. Parking in the student lot when there is a change in elevation is not a fun thing to walk. The college Has been renovated to comply with the ADA (AMerican's with Disabilities Act) but I think it was before they specified specific widths to the ramps. Some of them are rather narrow. It makes going to the mall a whole lot easier! I really like it, and use it to drive over to the local grocery and a drug store, which are just down the street from me. I picked up a cold oe flu this week somewhere, my sinuses are really congested, and I have been rinsing them with saline several times a day just to keep them open enough so I can sleep.

I really enjoy my electric powerchair. I don't know what I'd do without it now.
