Usenet is nothing compared to the streets and parks of San Francisco and
the roads of California and the highways of America. Usenet is nothing
compared to Greyhound buses and basement apartments. Usenet is nothing
compared to street corner junkies and Civic Center crackheads. Usenet is
nothing compared to SF public toilets and ghost stories about Lands End.
Usenet is nothing compared to Haight Street drug dealers and high school
coke heads.
Try growing up on the streets of SF if you want to learn about lack of
safety.
