From: Michael Meissner on 14 Jul 2008 15:57 FYI, It looks like Penn and Teller's next episode of B***S*** is on sleep and how much we need. I know from migraine groups, that sometimes it makes the members cringe when the media pokes around, and makes assumptions about stuff (and of course it depends on whether Penn and Teller are dissecting your pet projects). Any thoughts before it airs? http://www.sho.com/site/ptbs/episodes.do -- Michael Meissner email: mrmnews(a)the-meissners.org http://www.the-meissners.org

I didn't say they had any medical credentials, but they sometimes do put up talking heads that claim credentials. What I was wondering about is lets say they tear into shreds all of the bogus sleep products (which most of the people in this group agree are bogus, except the spammers trying to sell them), and bosses, etc. see the show and come to the conclusion that all sleep aids (like CPAP machines) are bogus, and cause problems for people with legitimate needs. -- Michael Meissner email: mrmnews(a)the-meissners.org http://www.the-meissners.org

Just posing a question myself. Why would anyone listen to what Penn and Teller have to say about sleep and/or sleep disorders? They're magicians. They're masters of deception, And if I'm not mistaken they've already demonstrated that they have strong political and anti-religious biases in some of the other tv shows they've done. It's kind of like having Michael Moore discuss the neo-conservative movement. He both knows anything about it, has a predetermined agenda in mind, and in then end you won't be able to believe a word he says. |
