From: Thip on 4 Jan 2008 18:50 Evidently someone heard part of a broadcast on the radio this week, and Harvey made some remarks about the FDA approving a drug that stimulates liver regeneration. I'm thinking he heard a fairy tale, because there's nothing on the Web about any such drug. On the outside chance it isn't a fairy tale, has anyone here heard/read about it?

From: Cactus Jammies on 4 Jan 2008 22:01 Perhaps Mr. Harvey (who IS that?) was thinking of this: http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/52735.php I do not have a cirrohtic liver (yet) and I don't drink booze of any kind, but the article talks about fibrosis. I Googled "liver sulphasalazine" and I got a number of hits. The above link was first. I asked about Sulphasalazine last September when I was in seeing my PCP. He didn't dismiss the idea of prescribing it eventually, but that would not have fit in with his ethic of cross-prescribing when not necessary. Or something like that. cactus jammies ======== "Michael Arends" <mlarends(a)NODAMNSPAMearthlink.net> wrote in message news:RoSdnQCa86YtfePanZ2dnUVZ_vfinZ2d(a)giganews.com... > Smiling Wickedly, Thip answered: >> Evidently someone heard part of a broadcast on the radio this week, and >> Harvey made some remarks about the FDA approving a drug that stimulates >> liver regeneration.
