From: Tennessee Tony on 2 Mar 2006 16:44 Holy crapolla! I thought I was going for 1 interview. It's good I didn't know or I may never have applied! First I filled out an "honesty questionnaire". All about stealing money, parts, if you lied or cheated or beat up kids on the playground... I filled it out honestly. The first question was "If you knew your relative was stealing something, would you report them?" I replied NO. This went on and on and on and most questions I answered in such a manner that stealing was wrong no matter how little the thing is. There were more questions scattered throughout that I answered yes to the wrong thing, but I figured no one is perfect and if I had everyone right, they would know I'm lying. I think I told the truth. Sit and wait............... OK, now answer the questions on this computer! Maybe this is where they asked if I beat up kids on the playground? I don't remember what was where? I finished it, then I sat and waited. OK, an interview with a real person! She asked me a few questions and a lot of the time I didn't have the words to express myself properly and told her so, but if she was asking me where the 1/4" carriage bolts are, I can show her! She gave me a paper of some company policies and I asked "does this mean I'm hired?" "No, two more interviews to go! But if it were up to me, I'd hire you!" I smiled and thanked her, then another sit here and wait. At least they were nice. Finally the second interview. This one had a lot of the "why do you want to work here" questions. I forgot about the paper in my pocket, and don't think it would have looked good anyway. So I stumbled through finally telling her that I want to learn about as many kind of building materials there are. From a screw to a toilet. I want to know it all. Sit and wait. Two hours after I arrived, the first girl asked if I can come back on Monday. I set up a time... 10AM I figured they wouldn't be far behind that early. I think I have one interview with the manager and he makes the final decision. She said Monday shouldn't take more than 5 or 10 minutes. This is the most extensive job application/interview I have ever done, and it's for a part time job! Hopefully I'll have some better "why do you want to work here" answers for the big boss on Monday. I'm tired!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Of course you told them that you stole every $ you could lay your hands on and that a day without beating up kids on the playground is most unsatisfactory for you? > > I filled it out honestly. You obviously did much better than you thought you had, my friend. Why doesn't that surprise me? I smiled and thanked her, then > another sit here and wait. At least they were nice. That does sound rather intense for a part time job, but some of the larger companies tend to be more cautious. It's good you answered the test questions honestly. I am sure you will get the job! Now, take a little nap and pat yourself on the back :-). Hi, Tono, You did a good job at the interviews. I am sure Monday's interview will go well and at least you know it shouldn't last very long. smiles, Elise "Tennessee Tony" <tennessee.tony(a)gmail.com> wrote in message news:46p78uFc8jfiU1(a)individual.net... > Holy crapolla!
