I think that what Curtis points out about the natural erections pre RRP is
right on target. The pump is a good way to get blood in there and keep the
tissues in shape.

hi reuben - the pump is probably the most important part of regeneration
of the erectlle system after the RP - in my opinion. and it is also the
most over looked.

here's why........before surgery, you were getting erections. it was a
natural process, and the pump is to this natural process as CPR is to
heart attacks. in both applications, the organ can not function on
it's own and needs help until such time, it can take over again.

there are two major features that need to be discuss.

one, fresh blood.

anywhere, there is a large amount of fresh blood, the body heals faster.
the mouth, face, head are examples of this. so, by manually bringing
blood to this area will aid in the regeneration of the nerves.

second

you are expanding the bladders inside the organ for erection. they
haven't been used for awhile and will ache when expanded. look at it
like walking after being in bed ridden for a long time. your legs will
ache being used the first few times.

One comment on buying the pump on the internet. Be careful that you
purchase from a factory authorized representative. Someone here bought a
Rejoyn via the net, it soon malfunctioned, and Rejoyn would not recognize
the warranty because the seller was not authorized. So, contact Osbon or
Rejoyn (if you can find them) directly when making a purchase.

Also, in my case, I may be allergic to the material that Rejoyn uses for the
rings. I quit using the pump a year or so ago because of that and I could
never get in contact with Rejoyn to find out if they have any alternatives.
The extra money for the Osbon may be well worth it because they seem to have
good customer support.

Hi, Reuben...
Just want to mention here that I got a Rejoyn Pump not long after my surgery
and was using it for exercise. But I always had a problem with the scrobum
being pulled into the tube... so it was a pain to try to use. Recently,
someone suggested the Kaplan pump to me... and I found one on sale on the
Net for just $75.... and it is SO much better ... and so much easier to use!
I had never heard of the Kaplan brand before. If you're looking, you might
want to check it out. Just my experience.....

Take care... MikeH

Howie,

I think I've related this before. Bot my nerves were taken, but I still had
a usable erection 2? years later. You have to work at it, though. Pump,
Viagra, shots... Nothing in life comes free.
