Yes it is. And I don't think it's justified, but as long as you refuse
to moderate your own behavior, you can expect the backlash to continue.
And some people will go to extremes.

Maybe you do this because you enjoy a little conflict, but there are
many people who frequent the support groups who have a lot of pent-up
frustration because of their health, or personal, or financial, issues.
Much of that negative energy can be directed towards punishing you, if
you continue to act in a way that makes you an attractive target.

Unless you have money to burn the law is not going to help you.

Which is more important to you? Fighting to preserve your right to annoy
everyone or getting the word out on your favorite subject in a way that
is effective? You can't do both. Here's another proverb for you, "You
draw more flies with honey than vinegar."

Here is what you should do to avoid further escalation in the tactics
being used against you:

Cut back on your posts and especially the crossposting. Go for quality
instead of quantity.

Ignore your critics. Don't defend what you post. Either you make posts
that can withstand some criticism on their own or you'll be fighting
constantly.

Do what you think is best, but don't let his moronic comments make you
angry. That's the only thing he has to fight back with, so if you deny
him that he'll be more frustrated and more likely to make a serious
mistake that you can use against him.
