Some angry (last?) posts on the PDQ forums here,

Pity really, as these things are/were a really good idea.

That's a shame as the concept was quite good, I assume they were just
sourcing parts, hub motors, controllers etc and assembling, so the parts
might be available.

Further reearch shows that PDQ were charging huge amounts for components
that are now readily available through the electric bicycle market. In
fact, the advances in performance and quality of the parts now available
through this route mean that a PDQ trike can be upgraded for far less
than it would have taken to replace parts with PDQ bits. This is
obviously a good thing.

The bad thing seems to have been that a couple of the PDQ guys appear to
have taken orders and money, knowing full well there would not be any
deliveries to follow. One apparently also vanished to Vietnam. This isn't
such a good thing for some people.

In the meantime, there are other trike projects, but not quite as well
designed as the PDQ trike. This means that for now, there will be a
number of them being dumped for low cost, but later on we might see an
owner's club appear, along with "howto" documentation and parts lists etc.

That should be fun. :)
