As long as you have diabetes, your risk of a heart attack or stroke is
statistically the same as someone who has already had a heart attack
or stroke so that your doctor is motivated to make your lipid profile
as optimal as possible.

Crestor is favored for raising HDL.

Antara is favored for lowering triglycerides (Trigs).

It is believed but not conclusively proven that optimizing the lipid
profile with these two medications will reduce your high risk of
future heart attacks or strokes.

Therefore, it remains much smarter to go for the cure of type-2
diabetes, by losing the black fat (VAT), which is achievable by simply
eating less, down to the right amount:
