From: asdf on 1 Jan 2006 23:55 trying to find more info on this item. It's a wall mounted chinning bar. There is some basic information on it but nothing else is available. http://www.bodysolid.com/Item.aspx?ItemID=190 If anyone has it please let me know how easily you were able to mount it in the doorway. How comfortable is the grip. Any recommendations on other chinning bars? I definatelly need one where I have some distance from the door. The ones that mount _IN_ the doorframe just don't give me enough room to do the pull ups comfortably. thank you very much.

Therefore, the breadth of your handgrip wouldn't be any better, although you might have a little more room for your elbows to move outward with a pronated grip.

To the OP: Spring for a wall-mounted job. Where do you work? Get one installed there if you don't have the wall space or a garage at home. -- Curt http://curtjames.com/

There are a few Chin up bars on amazon.com. This company has wall and joist mounted bars. http://www.1speakerstand.com/Exercise/Exercisehp.htm
