From: Snit on 11 Sep 2008 23:45 I have a new doctor who after meeting with me for about 15 minutes suggested I try Gabapentin. My symptoms are frequent anxiety/panic attacks and - over the last few years - a growing amount of agoraphobia (problems both with leaving the house and with being home without an another adult). I do not have a social anxiety disorder - I teach college classes and am generally fine with that (though I do have attacks sometimes when I am teaching). I also have what I call "wondering pains" - I just get pain in various parts of my body for reasons nobody has ever been able to figure out (arms, legs, torso... wherever). From what I have read Gabapentin might be beneficial for that as well. Thanks in advance. -- "If a million people believe a foolish thing, it is still a foolish thing." - Anatole France -- ========== Please DELETE this text block when replying! ========== Contact the moderators at: asapm-board(a)stump.algebra.com The charter is available at: http://readystump.algebra.com/~asapm ========= This notice is added to each approved article ==========

Just wanted to wish you success and luck on the Gabapentin. Having battled severe agoraphobia......I empathize with what you are going through. I have been exercising, doing yoga, and drinking lots of water - not sure if that is what is helping but just glad to be doing better. Not sure if I want to take the new med or not. -- "Innovation is not about saying yes to everything.
