Anyone, have you been keeping up on the debate
this evening ? Obama is embarrassing McCain, making him appear
the betrayer of confidence that he seems to be.

Any opinions on the contents of the debate and what needs to be
made clear to the candidates by the American people ?

Most important to many is medical costs and availability of care..

Baloney.

McCain appeared tough, firm, sure of himself and very presidential.
Obama? A whiner put very obviously against the ropes time and again
by McCain's continual offensive. You could see it on Obama's face
when the debate was over that he wasn't happy with his performance.

I at present believe Obama is the lesser of two evils, neither of
which have had the common mans interests at heart. Both parties have
had several years to do more than flap their gums about what they
could do, yet they allow loopholes for speculators and flawed
regulations for S & L's and Banks and do nothing to close them.

neither party in my opinion is interested in anything but filling
their pockets and getting out in one piece.

It's tough when you can only choose between cancer and polio.

Neither addressed the main question right now. Should over half
a trillion dollars be put out in the first place?

Wealth is determined by the ability to provide goods or services.
The U.S. is declining in the ability to provide either one of them.
So we are already operating at a deficit, and getting deeper into
the same hole. They say when that happens the first thing is to
stop digging.

Sorry, the Fannie May,Freddy Mac mentality is that everyone
should own their own home. Fine. But to make that happen,
the rules of financial solvency have been suspended. The
regulations didn't fail, the inspectors simply weren't funded. Now
we are at the point where there are signs offering financial
assistance to cover closing costs. If a family has to float a loan
for closing costs, they should walk away now, instead of locking
their door for the last time as the moving van carries their stuff
past the house they had wanted to call home.

Nowhere in the debate did either candidate say that a financial
bailout as currently proposed was a terrible idea. One that would
further devalue our economy as we racked up yet more debt.

I'm ready to vote for Ron Paul, maybe Obama.
