From: Wes on 23 May 2008 21:29 I chose to trust my colleagues since the diagnosis carried a limitation of not working night shifts or taking the 24x7 pager (sleep hygiene) - which is sort of the holy grail for a tech support group/role. I didn't want to come across as "special" for no reason. In the time that has passed, though there has been no overt, or even close to overt, negativity I think I've been affected by a subtle form of being distanced - sort of "in a tribe of warriors, the guy that limps doesn't get much respect". I'd recommend mildly against being very open - but the team dynamics can make a difference. From: zipper on 26 May 2008 08:46 It's funny. There are circumstances where i'm open and it's not because other people are bipolar in the group. Then most of the other "opportunites for sharing," I clam up. I listen to my head and heart and not my gut most of the time. I don't trust people. shawn
