I so appreciate all the help and all the clarifications and
tlc I've received from so many people on this NG. I want to
thank you all very much.

My question (maybe the last for a while:-),

When you test 1 hour after a meal and then 2 hours after a
meal. Does it mean 1 hour after you START your meal or
after you FINISH your meal? And the same for the 2 hour
reading of course.

I've been doing it when I finish the meal but I want to make
sure I'm doing it right.

Thanks again so much to everyone.

I have always been told that the time count begins at the START of the meal.

After you start the meal. As soon as that first mouthful is in your mouth,
it starts being processed!

Well, ideally, you'd be testing every 10-15 mins out from about the
half hour point to find when your personal peak is for a given meal's
fat:carb:protein profile, and then test at that point : ) But if
you're not being that anal about it, go for an hour after starting to
eat; food starts to be broken down in your mouth. Incidentally, my
peak at dx was nearer 90 mins, but is now nearer 40, so it does change
with time and gaining control. An hour is a good-enough measure for
you to see changing patterns.

There is no one answer to this. I test when I am done eating. Some test
after they start eating.
