From: MJames on 5 Jan 2008 20:34 Hello All, I normally use M-9 drops in my pouch to control odor. I am running low and my order won't come in until the middle of next week. I forgot, what else can be put into the pouch to control odor? Thanks.
From: shaz032 on 6 Jan 2008 01:49 Try 3% Hydrogen Peroxide (no stronger than the 3% - you can find it in the First Aid section of your supermarket). Just a few drops in your bag and there will be no odour next time you empty. It won't harm your stoma or your bag (it's dilute enough to be used as a mouthwash if needs be). I've used it for over 2 years and wouldn't be without it. Good luck. From: Jane Walker on 16 Jan 2008 18:04 Back before we had products made to control odor for our pouches, we used 2 aspirin in the pouch. No odor when emptying...drainage has to be liquid enough to dissolve the aspirin. Some said it would "burn" the stoma...but never found that to be true. Used it many years before Devrom became available. Devrom is taken by mouth...in the am and pm and completely eliminates odor.
