From: Califchief on 29 Jul 2008 00:59 Donna exclaimed to Joe: > 24 pounds??? Whew, Joe, that is a whole lot of belly flops > and one major sugar high!!! We're down to 18 pounds today. 1 to our border, 1 to my son with 3 kids + 3 stepkids, and 1 to Mary's church group (she held back with a little for herself). > Did you get a case of Bud too after your tour??? LOL That was a disappointment. The candy factory was long and very educational, with monitors explaining the history of Jelly Belly and what was happening at each of a dozen stops. Then we we off to the "sample" area and souvenir shop. Bud's tour leader took us to the pasteurizing tanks (42 feet long) and back to the beginning or the gift shop. Mary and I shared two glasses of different Bud flavors/colors in the tasting room. > Sounds like you and Mary had quite the trip! Glad to hear it > was so enjoyable and productive as well with collecting patches! The only bleak portion of the trip was the heat in Fresno and Bakersfield. Have to return to the area in cooler weather to visit Lemoore (city), Lemoore NAS, and Coalinga (former railroad coaling station A). > Welcome back and hope you get your computer replaced / fixed soon!!! Wednesday I'll be pricing them at NEX. I dread the thought of not having A: and B: drives, but no make had them these days. Dell was the first to stop installing floppy drives, now no manufacturer does. Oh well, may end up at a local computer shop that still has a trade-in shelf and pick up a used one. Other than my KayPro purchased in 1988, none of my computers have been name brand. It's easier to remove the case and add boards and other parts. Brand name manufacturers use proprietary motherboards that prevents many "do-it-yourself" additions by hobbiests. .... She won't last forever, so why buy her a diamond? ___ Blue Wave/QWK v2.12
