G'day G'day Folks,

When I looked in the fridge I had the passing thought,
"How many prunes would one need to eat to get one's
entire recommended ORAC intake for the day?"

The suggested intake is 3000 to 5000 ORAC units per day
with a US official suggesting adults should endeavour to get
3500 per day. The answer is eight prunes or about 61 grams.

One tenth total daily intake
= 350 ORAC units

How much to eat in grams
to get 1/10 ORAC RDA.

Quentin,

Not wishing to sound rude but it would be helpful if you appended your
posts with a brief note regarding just what it is you are talking about.

Usenet posts are not lecture notes. People dip in and out constantly. So
abbreviations such as ORAC mean absolutely nothing to people who glance
at the forums.
