Hi Turtle,

I've also been having quite a lot in the way of stress related GI
problems - ulcers in stomach, duodenum, and esophagus. Drugs like
Prilosec or Nexium really have helped a lot. But when it hits painfully, I
have found a lot of relief from Tums - two of those fruit flavored tablets
make a big difference for me.

I never heard of something referred to as a "pre ulcer". I'm guessing that
when you were scoped you had something that looked like a relatively small
ulcer or irritated area. Hopefully your doc also took a culture to rule
out the very common bacterial cause of many ulcers.
