Interesting. I just don't see why the mask interface should make a difference to the AHI?

It shouldn't unless the leak is so bad that a fixed pressure machine can't maintain the pressure any longer, or an auto machine's algorithm is compromised by excessive leak. I understand that FFMs are more prone to leak. Keep in mind as well that AHI comprises the HI and AI components and that hypopnoea begins at 75% reduction in ventilation. |
