From: ANN M on 3 Aug 2008 11:35 While at a cookout yesterday the family's german shepard dog was running around mooching food and doing tricks etc. Owner said he was being a pest and tied him up in the lower back yard away from people. Three year old boy running around got out of sight for a few moments and dog took most of his nose off. EMT's called and started to take him to Children's Hospital in Boston but he went into shock so took him to local hospital. After being stabilized he was transferred to Hasbro Childrens Hospital in Providence and is undergoing surgery this morning. We are all praying for a good outcome. Thanks...I will give you an update later. Ann
From: sweetpickleNO on 3 Aug 2008 12:30 Oh, the poor child. I can only imagine how the parents must feel and how they hurt. Praying for very successful surgery and rapid recovery. Prayers going out to that family. A reminder that any dog needs to be watched with any young child. Only takes a few minutes unfortunately. The poor boy - his family must feel terrible. Waiting for an update.
