Yesterday I got a call from a grief counselor, asking me if I had
support--I explained (through tears) that "my husband starts to MOAN, (I
cant stand it) my Nieces change the subject when I mention Mitchels
name, my Sisters and Brothers have passed on". She wanted to come to
the house, I said NO, not now.

She says I have to CRY. I do, but only when I'm alone. I contacted the
GetEtched Company to have a memorial made, but started to sob and
couldnt talk.

I'm being invited to dinners and parties, are people crazier than I am??

She says unless I cry it out I wont heal---HEAL???? I'm 80 years old,
she thinks I want to HEAL!!!!! I WANT TO BE WITH MY SON!

Gloria, I am sorry about your loss of your son.

The right place to be is where your heart tells you to be right now.
We all have to find our own ways of being true to the love we have.
Your love for Mitchel did not evaporate when your son was taken from
you. It has been, what, about 6 weeks? That's like two seconds in
grief-time. Your grief is as unique and personal as the love you bear
for him -- that means the judgments of others are usually way off
base.

Peace,
--
