An Introduction
Frankly, I am not that good of a writer, but I am a fairly decent quoter.
One of the people I have long admired is Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr.
In his dissenting opinion in Abrams vs. The United States, (1919) Justice
Holmes said:

Persecution for the expression of opinions seems to me perfectly logical.
If you have no doubt of your premises or your power and want a certain
result with all your heart you naturally express your wishes in law and
sweep away all opposition...But when men have realized that time has upset
many fighting faiths, they may come to believe even more than they believe
the very foundations of their own conduct that the ultimate good desired is
better reached by free trade in ideas-that the best test of truth is the
power of the thought to get itself accepted in the competition of the
market, and that truth is the only ground upon which their wishes safely can
be carried out. That at any rate is the theory of our Constitution.
And, thus, this blog is born. It is born to address the loss of the free
marketplace of ideas that should be found on Usenet and the Internet. It
will grow to hopefully raise awareness of the growing use of the
uncontrolled use of harassment, stalking and abuse in the electronic world
to silence those people who express a different point of view.

The rules of the Marketplace are quite simple. Address the issues that are
raised. I will always have comment moderation turned on, simply because this
is MY BLOG, and I will always refuse to allow it to be used for harassment,
stalking and abuse.

If you wish to share your experience as a victim of these actions, please
leave a comment with your email address. I will not post your address, but I
will email you to discuss the issues further.

I welcome posts where solutions to problems are discussed.
