I dont' know where all to start! :-) Things turned out really really well,
I think! :-)

I'll try not to bore ya all with a lot of repetition or chatter! :0) ok,
ok! ;-) I'll try to keep it down to a minimum! :0)

The follow-up app't with pulmonary for the pulmo test and sleep study:
NO sleep apnea was noted :-0) yeaaaa no more cpap machine :-) Although it
DID show that I had a sleep problem.

The lung volume on the pulmo test was too low to be able to test for co2
retention (test for emphysema) ... the test itself showed severe lung
disease (the ONLY thing the past drs have gotten right!! the OTHER drs from
where I USED to live in that horrible other state!!) have severe asthma,
COPD which is reversible. THAT is GOOD news ... 'nother words, the
condition is treatable w/medication and 'reverses' itself ... my meds open
my lungs up better! ;-) The respitory meds I've been on for YEARS now is
the best protocol that there is for my 'condition' . :-) as I said, this
was the ONLY correct condition and treatment that the "****" drs (previous
statethat I lived in) had!

The 'nodule' that was in my right lung was a calcified nodule or granuloma
from histoplasmosis ... or chicken mold spores! commonly seen in folks from
the southern states! Histoplasmosis is also like Valley Fever (or something
like that) anyway, it's calcified, and has resolved on its own! :-)
APPARENTLY I shouldn't ever have any more probs from it ... chit! I dont'
have ANY idea which case of lung gunk I'd had that was this stuff, and not
pneumonia! :-}

At least I don't live 'round that chicken chit state no MORE so won't get
any more chicken chit in my lungs! <wicked evil grin>

For the LIFE of me, I do NOT understand why the drs in *** NEVER noticed the
presence of the nodule, or if they DID, why they never mentioned it! I mean
like I had at LEAST 6 -10 lung exrays ran EACH year for the past 10 years!!
And, never mentioned that I may have had chicken chit disease! <grinning in
spite of myself! :-) >

The tummy biopsy showed the probs I had was an episode of ischemic colitis,
that has resolved itself as well! :-) Also have diverticulosis ... so I
have to eat more fiber and make sure I poop! which to me is crazy, but oh
well, i've been making SURE i poop at LEAST every other day!! I take my
little red pills twice a day like a good girl! :-) along with my 50 jillion
other pills! ROFL

I have had SOO much trouble SOO long with my tummy ... I don't EVEN
understand why them OTHER state drs never EVER found the diverticulis stuff!
they'd done an endoscopy a year previous ... of course, telling me that
everything was 'normal' ! Guess it just falls apart when you cross state
lines! ROFL

The bone density showed osteoporosis. Sure is strange that TWO separate
tests ... one 15 months ago, and the other 9 months ago, in that OTHER state
.... showed NORMAL bone density!! and here, osteoporsis shows up!

I'd already mentioned in my latest post about Deff's test results how well
the old pcp's office staff did when I had my last app't! I made SURE they
ALL knew I'd noticed and APPRECIATED the improvements they'd made! :-)

I saved the absolute BESTESTEST for last tho' ! :-) drum roll, please
................. thank you, maestro! :-)

I have NOT had ANY ciggarettes AT ALL in over 48 hours! YEAAAAAAAAA for
MEEEEE! :-) THAT was the HARDEST struggle I've gone thru in A LONG LONG
TIME!! :-( But, I DID IT! :-) TADA! :-)

My nicotine patch is helping TREMENDOUSLY! :-) thank god!! I still am
having the HUGE craving at night for my two ciggies, especially ... but they
are NEAR what they were! thankfully! ;-) so now I'll go download one of
those meters, and start puttin' in MY smokeless stats! WHOOOO HOOOOOO
without ANY cheating in it, neither! ;-)

I'm sooooo proud of MEEEEEE! :-) That was ONE helluva battle ... but I
WON! whooooo hooooooooooooo! :-)

sorry FMily! got a bit carried away there with the exuberance! :-0)

So, that catches all of the test results from both Deff and I ! :-)

Thanks to all of you for the prayers/good vibes/love and support you;ve sent
our way! They were answered positively MANY times over and over!

Wedding bells/thoughts ahead on the distant horizon! :-) as I wonder just
HOW much weight I'll have lost by then ... as I'm STILL watchin' what I
don't eat! ROFL the weight seems to be at a standstill right now ... but
then, I haven't been really REALLY strenous as I had been on the yogurt, etc
However, I'm back on my 'yogurt/fruit' so we'll see what I weight next drs
visit! :-) as it is, I'm STILL under 230 lbs .. which in itself is a small
miracle! (227 lbs SCORE!!) so have only gained back 6 pounds when I
stopped smoking! :-) Cool, huh?? ;-)

Lots and lots of good news to hear. I am really happy for you as I was so
worried about your lungs. And no cigs for 48 hrs.... go girl. I also heard
that Wellbutrin can help when quitting smoking... just heard this from other
folks. I use it to decrease my depression and it also helps my appetite as
a good side effect.

I couldn't be happier for you and tell please..... wedding bells in the
future? Am I reading this right? Yeah!!!

Sounds like you had a good one today like I did! Glad to hear things went
well for you.

I hope you stay with the quitting! I being an ex-smoker would have to
recommend the Wellbutrin that Nettie mentioned. I personally didn't do well
on the patch as to me I had more of a hand mouth type habit. So I tried
stick candy,lollipops,etc.....no good b/c it wasn't tricking the mind into
thinking it was a cigarettes! But to me the pills(Wellbutrin) were a life
saver for me! Why? They took the edge off the shaking, helped me to
concentrate on things I found to do with my hands. Another helper was stuff
like that. Computer I made the rule I didn't smoke while online, I did
things that I couldn't smoke while doing....sewing,puzzles,etc. Well I could
have but they kept me busy.

To me it was the hardest 2 weeks in my life. At that point was when the
tension and *want* started to get farther and farther between thinking about
it.

Unreal to think that at times I *still* think of them ...mostly when
tension or stress starts getting bad. But I know I would never be able to
walk away again so that helps to keep me away.

I think I stayed on the pulls for a couple months but not much longer
then that.

Bottom line.....I hope you add up the days quickly so it gets easier
faster for you! ;-)
